Sri Ramakrishna Public School welcomes students from Kindergarten to Class XII for admissions every academic year. The admission process is transparent, student-friendly, and strictly follows the guidelines laid down by the school and CBSE. We aim to provide equal opportunities to all eligible learners.

Admission Procedure

Parents can obtain the admission form from the school office during working hours.

The application form must be submitted along with all required documents within the given timeline.

  • KG classes: Informal interaction
  • Classes I–VIII: Basic skill assessment
  • Classes IX–XII: Admission based on academic records & seat availability

All certificates and records will be verified by the school office.

Admission is confirmed only after fee payment and submission of the Transfer Certificate (where applicable).

Parents will receive instructions about school rules, uniforms, timings, and other guidelines before the reopening date.

Eligibility & Age Criteria

Eligibility is based on the age the child completes on 31st March of the admission year.

Age Guidelines (General Standard)
  • LKG: 3 years +
  • UKG: 4 years +
  • Class I: 5 years +
  • Higher classes: As per completed age + pass record from previous school

These age norms ensure academic readiness and developmental suitability for each grade.

Documents Required

Parents must submit the following documents at the time of admission:

  • Birth Certificate (Original & photocopy)
  • Recent passport-size photographs of the student
  • Transfer Certificate (for Class II and above)
  • Previous School Progress Report / Marks Card
  • Community Certificate (if applicable)
  • Address Proof of Parent / Guardian
  • Aadhaar Card of Student
  • Medical Fitness / Immunization Record (if need-based)

Grade-Wise Admission Rules

  • Direct admission based on age eligibility
  • No written test
  • Child-friendly interaction only

  • Basic assessment in English, Tamil, and Mathematics
  • Admission subject to seat availability
  • Transfer Certificate mandatory from Class II onward

  • Written assessment based on previous class learning
  • Previous school report required
  • Admission approval by the Principal

  • Strictly based on school norms & previous academic performance
  • Transfer Certificate & progress records compulsory

Stream allocation (Science / Commerce / Humanities) based on:

  • Class X performance
  • Subject interest
  • School’s academic policy

Admission granted only on availability of seats

Withdrawal Guidelines

  • A written application from the parent or guardian is required for withdrawal.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) will be issued only after clearing all school dues.
  • Parents must return books, ID cards, library books, and other school materials before TC issuance.
  • No fee refund will be provided once admission is confirmed.
  • TC will be issued within the time specified by the school office after verification.
