Parents Corner

Sri Ramakrishna Public School believes that parents are essential partners in a child’s education. A strong parent–school collaboration ensures academic success, good behaviour, discipline, and overall development. This section guides parents on how to support their child effectively throughout the school year.

Notes to Parents

  • Parents are requested to check the school diary daily and follow all instructions given by teachers.
  • Ensure that the child attends school regularly and punctually.
  • Please send your child in complete, neat, and clean uniform.
  • Parents should provide a nutritious lunch and avoid junk food.
  • Encourage children to participate in school activities, competitions, and events.
  • Parents must update the school about changes in contact numbers or address.
  • Meeting teachers during school hours without prior permission is not allowed.
  • Any leave request must be entered in the diary and signed by the parent.
  • Sick children should not be sent to school; a medical certificate is required after long absence.

Communication Guidelines

  • The school diary is the primary mode of communication between teachers and parents.
  • Parents should check and sign the diary regularly.
  • Official communication from the school will be sent through circulars, notices, or SMS.
  • Parents must attend all scheduled Parent–Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
  • Concerns or queries should be discussed politely with the class teacher or Principal with prior appointment.
  • WhatsApp or unofficial communication is discouraged to maintain professionalism.

Homework Follow-Up

  • Parents are expected to ensure that the child completes homework daily.
  • Homework must be neat, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Encourage independent work—do not complete homework on behalf of the child.
  • Provide a quiet study space at home to support daily revision.
  • Check notebooks regularly to ensure corrections and notes are properly maintained.
  • Repeated failure to do homework will be brought to the parent's notice.

Parent Responsibilities

Parents play an important role in shaping the child’s discipline, learning habits, and behaviour.

  • Encourage children to read, practice, revise, and stay organised.
  • Monitor screen time and avoid mobile phones for school work unless permitted.
  • Teach children respect, honesty, and good manners at home.
  • Attend meetings, respond to school communication, and cooperate during events.
  • Ensure regular attendance and avoid unnecessary leave or travel during working days.
  • Follow all school rules regarding uniform, fees, punctuality, and discipline.

  • Send expensive items, gadgets, or jewellery with the child.
  • Criticize teachers in front of children; always contact the school directly if needed.
  • Encourage shortcuts or irregular study habits.
